Workplace Response to Family Domestic Violence (FDV)

Workplace Response to Family Domestic Violence (FDV)

Duration: 2 hours

With the changing times when home has become the workplace, family domestic violence has become a workplace issue which needs urgent addressing on all fronts.

This workshop provides useful skills to employees to use the 3R framework to support their coworkers. They are equipped with useful resources to look for help if required, and get familiar with the do’s and don’ts while helping their peers.

The 3R framework is a valuable tool that helps employees identify signs of family domestic violence and respond appropriately. The framework involves recognizing the signs of domestic violence, responding to the situation with empathy and understanding, and referring the victim to appropriate resources for help. By using this framework, employees can play an essential role in preventing domestic violence from escalating and providing support to their coworkers who are victims.

This workshop also aims to educate employees about the importance of creating a safe and supportive workplace culture that values the well-being of all employees. By providing employees with knowledge and skills to identify and address domestic violence in the workplace, organizations can foster a supportive environment that promotes safety and well-being. Additionally, the workshop highlights the importance of confidentiality and respect for victims of domestic violence, emphasizing the need for a non-judgmental and empathetic approach when supporting colleagues who are experiencing family domestic violence.
