Unconscious Bias in Appraisals

Building on the introductory course on Unconscious Bias, this workshop looks at both the formal and informal appraisal process to identify how bias may be affecting expectations, performance, assessment and feedback. In addition to the biases examined in the introductory workshop,  participant also look at the halo bias, recency bias and central tendency. The workshop also covers the impact of cultural and personality differences and how they may affect interpretation of the process.
